Crow Wall Collections respects the privacy of visitors, including children and families. This page explains the information that may be collected when you visit Crow Wall Collections or use one of its forms, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
Information You Choose to Send
Crow Wall Collections uses WordPress.com and Jetpack forms for features such as the Correspondence Club, Visitors’ Bulletin Board, and Lost & Found. Information entered into a form may include a name or nickname, an adult email address when a reply is requested, and the message or other information the person chooses to submit.
Form submissions are used only to operate the feature for which they were submitted, such as reviewing a bulletin-board submission, responding to a Lost & Found report, or sending a character letter reply to a parent or guardian. Crow Wall Collections does not sell information submitted through these forms.
Children’s Privacy
Crow Wall Collections includes stories, printables, activities, and other material that children may enjoy. Children should not submit personal or contact information through Crow Wall forms. When a child wishes to participate in an interactive feature, a parent or guardian should handle the online submission.
For the Correspondence Club, a parent or guardian should submit the child’s letter and provide the adult’s name and email address for any reply. Please do not include a child’s last name, email address, home address, phone number, school information, or other identifying or contact information in a form or submitted letter.
WordPress.com and Jetpack
Crow Wall Collections is hosted on WordPress.com and uses Jetpack services. WordPress.com and Jetpack may process technical information necessary to provide, secure, protect against spam, and measure use of the website. Jetpack Stats may collect information such as page views, referring URLs, approximate location information, browser or device information, and technical identifiers. Crow Wall Collections receives aggregate site statistics rather than the identity of individual visitors from those statistics.
Form responses may be stored and processed through WordPress.com and Jetpack. Do not use Crow Wall forms to submit passwords, payment-card information, medical information, or other highly sensitive information.
How Information Is Used
Information submitted to Crow Wall Collections may be used to respond to a submission, provide the requested interactive feature, moderate material before anything is displayed publicly, maintain the website, prevent spam or misuse, and understand general website traffic.
Public Submissions
Submitting something does not mean it will automatically appear publicly. Crow Wall Collections reviews visitor submissions before deciding whether anything is added to a public area of the site. Personal contact information should not be posted publicly.
Access and Deletion Requests
If you or your child submitted information through Crow Wall Collections and you would like to ask what information is retained or request that a submission be deleted, please contact Crow Wall Collections through an adult-managed contact method provided on the website. Enough information may be requested to locate the submission, but please do not send additional sensitive information.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when Crow Wall Collections adds or changes website features or data practices. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
