The Little Spark

The Little Spark, Ember's cozy workshop of stories, maps, books and ideas

Come in. Look around. Touch things you probably shouldn’t. Ideas have no curfew here.

On Ember’s Desk

This is where half-finished stories, strange questions, crooked maps and ideas that refuse to behave pile up. Whatever Crow Wall is dreaming up next may leave a clue here before it appears anywhere else.

CURRENTLY ON THE DESK

A worm named Walter.
An alarming quantity of Greek mythology.
Several bugs who have been given responsibilities they did not ask for.
And one question: What could possibly go wrong?

Last seen: Pockets examining the evidence.

Currently on Ember’s desk in The Little Spark workshop, surrounded by stories, sketches, a glowing blue spark and Pockets causing trouble

Walter has requested better representation. His request is under review.

Things Pockets Left Behind

No one has officially accused Pockets of anything. That would require evidence. Unfortunately, there is usually evidence. Keep an eye out for odd little objects, misplaced treasures and things that definitely were not on the desk yesterday.

THE EVIDENCE SHELF

ITEM #001 — One tiny brass key
Found underneath Ember’s desk.
Opens: Unknown.
Pockets’ explanation: “Never seen it before in my life.”

Assessment: Extremely suspicious.

ITEM #002 — One slightly chewed pencil
Found: In the Spark Jar.
Owner: Ember.
Suspect: Unknown.
Pockets’ statement: “Do I look like I eat pencils?”

Additional note: No one asked whether he stole it.

The Spark Jar

Every so often, something free will escape from the workshop—a coloring page, a curious prompt, a tiny story, a printable, or something we haven’t thought of yet. That is rather the point.

SPARK JAR #001 — THE KEY THAT DOESN’T FIT. Pockets’ tiny brass key opens a door that was not on the back wall yesterday. What three things are inside? Pick one that Pockets insists is not his.

Same spark. Different worlds.

If you found your way in here, you’re welcome back anytime.
Just count your belongings before you leave. — Ember
